ABOUT ME

I am a free lance cinematographer based in Chicago, Il. (I could paste the rest of my Bio in here, but I think that would be very boring.)

Like everyone on this website, I like to travel. A lot.

I love my friends, my co-workers, and my community, and I am lucky enough to have these things collide sometimes.

I am a 99.9% visual person... but I do appreciate good music. (even though I can't play it...except harmonica... I can play harmonica ok...)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

"Ive heard it said that every human being here on earth has but one obligation, while they here, and thats to try to leave it, a better place, than what we found it."

My participation really boils down to the little things that will hopefully be bigger things as I get older. I host people when I can, crash on couches when I get the chance, and try to form micro communities all around me. Collaboration makes us stronger and its one of my favorite things in this world. (and a big reason why I do film so much more than photography) Hopefully I can be part of that collaboration here on couch surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After I finished working on a documentary in Espana I split with the crew and did some traveling in Galicia. Changing that plane ticket home and getting left behind was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It would not have been nearly as great if it were not for the great people that showed me the true Espana. Couch surfing is a truly wonderful thing.

Interests

I really like camping, backyard bbq's, new food, new people, and so many other things but I won't list them all. At the end of the day I love my work though, so if you wanna "see" what interests me check out my portfolio website-- JMulholland.net
