About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to have a new adventure every day!
ABOUT ME
I'm passionate about a lot of things, too many things really, which makes me sort of a passionate dilettante. I'm happiest when I'm trying new things.
I would much rather have an amazing experience with someone than just go see a bunch of tourist stuff - which is why I love couch surfing.
I just got back from living two years abroad in Indonesia and traveling all over SE asia, and I'm planning on moving to cali very shortly. In the meantime, I hope to take an epic cross country road trip to fall in love with America all over again.
PHILOSOPHY
interested = interesting
I believe that maintaining nueroplasticity is the most important thing you can do in your life, and the thing I'm MOST afraid of is not changing or being challanged by my surroundings.
I'm an on-an-off again vegan, as I love cheeze, but i'm hoping to live up to my ideals a little more faithfully in the future...I love veganism NOT only because of its compassionate nature, but also because vegans are so goddamn creative - like who the fuck would have ever dreamed you can make vegan DEVILED EGGS? it's brilliant. I'm also down with dumpster-diving/freeganism.
I once met some Spaniards who summarized their lives for me in this way: "I like to cook a little food, drink a little wine, play a little music...every day a little party," which seems like a decent thing to aspire to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so far I've only hosted people, but i'm ready to start surfing now.
Interests
picture-taking, diving, yoga, hammocks, environmentalism, costumes, parties that involve costumes (or any excuse to wear a costume), writing, hiking, puppets, theater, trash-talking, biking, animal rights, politics, craft beer.
I like crafty things most of all!
Right now I'm working on starting an independent news org with my boyfriend, and we are spending quite a bit of time learning filming techniques, and doing political research. We hope to expand our material through our travels!

I'd love to meet someone who could hash some of that stuff out with me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
almost all of my favorite experiences have been outdoors - like scuba diving in the middle of a big school of tuna, climbing a mountain at dawn, or whizzing through a rice paddy on the back of a motorbike during a full moon.
i also once went on an amazing, yet grueling, sumatran bus adventure with a squirrel nesting in my hair the entire time...i woke up with a lot of squirrel piss in my face.
