About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live in quiet revolution

ABOUT ME

I'm a Kiwi at heart with a restless spirit and an interest in history. I like knowing the sky, especially one with stars in it. I always crave sunshine and ocean !!

PHILOSOPHY

To be kind and to live well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Intermittent socialising, sporadic couch surfing, until I next have a home of my own

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My fabulous sister is a seasoned surfer, and through CS with her I´ve met some wonderful people. I only wish I'd known about it earlier and genuinely think it's the best invention ever.

Interests

Travelling. Listening to music, making music. Painting. Reading. I studied astronomy at Uni and I also like bonfires and beaches, sunshine and swimming. Oh and poetry. And music festivals! LOVE music festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Loved the bio "The Invention of Clouds" by Richard Hamblyn. Who would have thought meteorology could be so interesting?? Also a big fan of Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment" and Dava Sobel's "Galileo's Daughter". Recent reads include “Braiding Sweetgrass” Robin Wall Kimmerer, “The Left Hand of Darkness” Ursula K LeGuin and “The Island of the Missing Trees” Elif Shafak.

Listening to Ben Howard, Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver and Laura Marling at the moment. Good old favourites though: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell...
