我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My girlfriend (the gal next to me in the picture) and I are about to embark on an Do-it-yourself-around-the-world-adventure, starting in Halifax, Canada in May 2017. So naturally, I'm looking for hosts when the going gets tough or there's no accomodation to be found elsewhere. After this experience, I'm sure I'll be hosting as many people as I can myself.

New-found love for the outdoors (esp. hiking and kayaking), talk, walks, games, reading, chilling, enjoying a nice evening after a day's work, and much more.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: Everything that sticks after hearing it once, be it a melody or the lyrics. Examples are KoL, J. Cole, Genesis, Foo Fighters, Mumford and Sons, Jack Johnson, Dispatch. List could go on forever. Probably described best as "diverse".

Movies: All-time favorite is Pulp Fiction, but there's so much here as well that a list might put you to sleep. If the movie provokes a thought or simply entertains me, chances are that I like it. Examples are Wall-E, Lucky # Slevin, Interstellar, Home Alone, Snatch, Rain Man.

Books: Too many to list, as well. Has to be a page turner (though I usually make my way through it once I've started one). Examples are Kingkiller Chronicles, The Passage Trilogy, Grisham's early works.

Most recently hiked all the way down to the Colorado River during the day and back up to the rim at night.

Don't know if there's anything I can teach anybody. One of my traits is listening and the will to learn once something interests me. I can be pretty persistent.
