ABOUT ME
Jonas is 32, he is a learned paediatric nurse and worked in hospital for some years. Since 2008 he studies German and Scandinavian languages and literature at the University of Frankfurt.
Katha is 26 and finished her studies in German, Law and Book Sciences (that's publishing, printing history and stuff like that) at the University of Mainz. Now she works in a publishing house in Frankfurt.
We are no partypeople and don't drink lots of alcohol but we like to have a glass of wine or cup of tea and a nice conversation. We also like good food, stories about your hometown and your culture. And we'd like to practise our foreign languages or learn some phrases in a language we don't know yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love to have guests, so our couch welcomes you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had only few guests yet, but we're looking forward to having more :)
Interests
We love to make music by voice (Jonas takes singing lessons) or with instruments (Jonas: Flute, Guitar, Katha: Violin). Mostly we play (or sing) classical pieces or folksongs. Maybe you'd like to join!? :)
We like to attend theatre, opera and - especially Jonas - museums. You're welcome to come along.
Jonas is practising Aikido in a dojo in Frankfurt, and without his bicycle, he's just like an amputee.
We like cooking and we DO like to have guests :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Katha: I've read so many books that it's difficult to pick a favourite ... I'm very fond of Austen (like every girl in the world ;)) and Charlotte Bronte, Virginia Woolf, John Irving, Paul Auster, Siri Hustvedt. I also like criminal novels and fantasy (Tolkien, Prachett ...). At the moment I'm reading a lot in english ...
I like classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert) but also pop and indie.
Jonas: I read a big range of books. In the moment mainly for university, but also fantasy (Tolkien, Moers) and any book, whose author knows, that writing is, chiefly, narrating. Although I study german literature, I have to catch up with the classics (and Kathas wide reading in these).
I don't really listen to music often, because the most time I'm occupied with other things, but when I do, I like classical singing, Jazz and Folk.
