About Me
Where are we now? We're back in Perth, WA to see this pandemic out. We are lucky to have a comfortable home to be based in and would love to help any CS-ers out there who have found themselves stuck during this period.
What about us? We enjoy a good chat over a drink. We particularly like learning about different cultures and ways of living. We love live music! We are also passionate about food - eating locally is just as important to us as seeing the sights. We are on CS as meeting new, fun and interesting people is always a highlight of our travels.
What have we been up to? We've been on the road since June 2017 and in that time we've explored Western Europe (including a one day dash from Milan to Munich to see if Oktoberfest lives up to the hype), the UK and Ireland in a campervan, explored Morocco, taken every sort of transport imaginable in India (and seen/smelt/experienced some crazy things), hiked for 24 days on the Three Passes Trek and Everest Base Camp in Nepal, seen Australia (lose) in the World Cup in Russia, hitchhiked in Georgia and hung out in sunny California. We spent two months honing our Spanish in Mexico then, in a move clearly planned to keep improving those skills, skipped over to Vietnam. After two bouts of living about yachts last year, we spent the rest of our time in the Americas. Ended up in Peru when covid-19 hit and ended up choosing to get repatriated back to Australia. So here we are, almost back where we started :)
We'd love to catch up or share any travel tips over email. Don't be a stranger, message us!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We've met some great people as hosts, as guests and at CS events. We believe that travelling is as much about the people you meet as it is about the locations and appreciate the travel style of the CS community. We also really believe in the concept of the gift economy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Driven across Australia with all our belongings in a tiny Hyundai Getz
-Hiked the Three Passes in Nepal (up to 5600m elevation!)
-Train hopped in India in the unreserved section of 5 different trains to travel over 450km+ in one night (costing us only about $3) and make it to Dharamsala in time to see the Dalai Lama speak.
-Celebrated Vardavar in Armenia (=city wide water theme park)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our love of food and drink, interest in politics and history, music (Ari's got a mean guitar serenade song list), energy and good times!
We consider ourselves to be generous, polite, knowledgeable people who are always happy to help. We're very low maintenance and although we prefer hosts that have time to hang out, we are independent and can look after ourselves.
And if all else fails, we can always bring you wine :)
