ABOUT ME

We are two 18/19 year old volunteers living in Luderitz for the year whilst running the local newspaper and working in two schools. We've both just finished our A-levels in the UK, and are taking a year out to meet new people and get some perspective before starting university.

PHILOSOPHY

We're both young, and this year we're just enjoying meeting interesting people with more wisdom than us and stealing their philosophies! Peace and love though, naturally.

Interests

We both share a love of writing and reading (hence the year of journalism), and also enjoy cycling. Van is very into photography and running, whilst I (Jo) love painting, and playing the clarinet. We have a great set-up in the flat because I like to cook, and Van has an unnatural passion for washing up. After this year, Van plans to study to become a teacher, and I want to do a history degree. Van love sharks, a lot.
