Overview
About Me
I work as a teacher educator at Warwick University, which means I teach English teachers on MA and CELTA courses. I also do quite a lot of work online making teacher training videos (I've got over a million YouTube hits, which I think is great, but my kids tell me is pants!). I've recently moved to Stratford, which is a great place to visit and my oldest son did some couchsurfing (being hosted) this summer so I thought it would be good to give a bit back to the community on his behalf.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm pretty settled now but spent a lot of time in my 20s and 30s travelling and teaching English overseas and so really like to meet other people in the same situation.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes are pretty stuck in the 70s - Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Pink Floyd, etc. I'm re-reading The Moon and Sixpence (Somerset Maugham) at the moment (highly recommended) and movies... recently saw Bohemian Rhapsody and loved that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done quite a few amazing things in my life - I've been really lucky - but something I loved was 5 years ago, walking the Camino de Santiago (120kms of it in 6 days) with my *then) 83 year old father.
