Sobre mí

The below message is from last summer haha, but this year I'm basically the same but traveling to NYC for an internship and looking for local hosts from mid June to end of August.

If you come to LA, I can potentially host you for a few days starting next school year (Sept 2018) in UCLA dorms since I will be having a single!

Hi It's Jo here! I'm a third-year student in University of California, Los Angeles. I love traveling and am trying to take my school breaks to go to some fun places with a limited budget. This summer, I'm interning in a food delivery non-profit called Food Forward (We are awesome check it out!) and will be going to Atlanta and Knoxville and the Smoky Mountains.

I'm originally from China but I consider wherever I'm at my home. My favorite place I have traveled to is Alaska, where I went to last summer. I can't get over the barrenness and the vastness there. And I can't get over the firewoods that was flourishing everywhere in summer. And I'm considering going back there for grad school. I also met the artist that I connected with the most in a small town in Germany. Everywhere I go I seek connection with people and land.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I believe traveling on a budget and going local/meeting interesting people always go together. *Not for hook-ups*

Algo increíble que he hecho

I organized a road trip themed on food insecurity around the Central Valley area of California and volunteered with friends in many food banks, community gardens and shelters on the way!

And in high school, I taught my best friend how to climb trees.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm open to anything this lovely world may bring:)
