Hey, I'm Jo!

I’ve been moving and shaking my way through various jobs and places since I was 19! For the last few years I’ve been in Glasgow, where I studied art and completed a course in Holistic Therapies.
I've recently been working and travelling in New Zealand and now I'm in Australia, ready to spend a summer in the sunshine!

I've got a zest for life and I love having fun! I like being in the sea when the suns out and in the forest after it rains. Last summer I tried surfing and I have been craving the buzz again since! I have a passion for good food and love seeking out great eateries in new places. I've got a weakness for warm pastries! I enjoy black coffee in the mornings and red wine by a fire.

Tattoos and poetry are my favourite types of art. I like using my hands to create things! I love the thrill of fast bike rides and loud music but balance out the excitement with easy mornings and interesting conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly, I'm on here to help seek out alternative accommodation in places where hostels aren’t affordable. The chance to meet and connect with new people is the cool bonus!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is dependant on so many factors! Mood, place, emotion..! Paolo Nutini is one of my favourites. I like Folk music and Techno. Deep house hits the spot alot of the time too!

I'm not a big film watcher, but two that come to mind are Good Will Hunting and Into the Wild

I'm very inconsistent when it comes to books! It can generally range from 7 hours of straight reading to none at all for 3 months haha. I like stories about travel. I read one about a woman who rode around the world on her BMW motorbike - so sick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I cycled round the North Coast of Scotland! A two week trip that was fuelled by cider and sunsets!
