About Me
Current mission: learn Portuguese in a local setting :)
I'm planning to come to Madeira and take a language course, get to know its real culture and settle before going to Uni in Funchal next year.
Though a little unusual for the normal couchsurf idea, it would be great to get in touch with some locals before I arrive. If you can imagine hosting me for a few first days, or know someone renting out a room near the uni, that would be a biiiig help ;)
I'm looking forward to meeting you !!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's always been a special experience to be invited in a local's home.
Heaps of good conversations came out of that and always with a pinch of personality of each host........
every time a once in a life time experience ;)
As i havent had a home in the last few years, i havent hosted any couchsurfer yet, but as soon as i get settled somewhere, i'll be happy to contribute to this great idea of CS
Interests
Hi there, I'm Jo (24), hot cocoa addict who likes to share cups of tea with people all over the world :)
I've been couchsurfing in New Zealand and Kiwis welcomed me very warmly into their homes...
now I'm back in Europe, and I'm looking forward to meeting you guys along the way!
.....................well, ....if you think hey a red cheek smily German who's gonna get sunburnt in half a day and will bake a Blackforest Torte for you............you're totally right :D. Although i appreciate a lot about my home country, i feel there is something out there that is just not so much german at all - first of all nature and WAVES! I fell in love with surfing in New Zealand. What is there any better than salt water on your skin, sitting on your board watching the sets coming in....tho a long walk has some calming effect as well :) .................
when you spend a little time with me, you will notice that i love food - probably everbody does, maybe lets say i appreciate good fresh food and celebrate sharing it! Preparing some dinner or baking some bread so that the whole house smells like fresh yummyness in the morning, thats the good life :) Any place that has fresh fruit is paradise, and I'm always keen to go to some markets.
I like travelling on my own, so couchsurfing is a possibilty for me to get to know people along the way.
Even if you'd couchsurf every day of your life, there would always be more people to meet on this planet :P
Life keeps being interesting!
I love surfing, the ocean, and simply being outside. Skating is a good alternative and wherever possible I'm in for a hike too.
