About Me

Philosophy student and aspiring journalist, studying at the University of Birmingham in the UK. Just finished an exchange year at McGill in Montreal and hitchhiked across Canada to see its beauty and hear its stories. I love travelling, music, discourse and breakfast.

I'm very open-minded and always looking to learn. I want to try different things, meet new people, experience a variety of cultures and attitudes. I'm respectful, sensible and easy going.

My life goal: to have an impact towards peace in the Middle East. To be as best informed as possible, I want to become a journalist discovering the stories and perspectives people have.

My life philosophy: peace starts with people, not politics. The truth is less relevant than what people believe. Hate doesn't come out of nothing, something or someone teaches hate. Our world works on people being respectful, kind and generous. People are only greedy and selfish because they believe that others are too, so prove them wrong and be compassionate!

My life passion: music... it has the power to transport me to a transcendental state of mind and has the power to express my mood more than words ever could.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, travelling is done best by meeting locals and speaking with new people - especially the kind that have the warmth and compassion to welcome others into their home - to hear their stories and opinions. And seeing as I'm not fussed where I sleep, I'd rather spend my money on more important things... outdoor activities, good beer, live music, good food!

I won't treat your place as a free hostel. I'm not on Couchsurfing to take advantage of people, I'm here to meet people and hopefully one day return the favour. I can look after myself, buy my own food and cook you a meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing any knowledge or opinions I have about music, politics, history, culture, language, etc.

But my greatest asset is that I can be a great listener because of my avid curiosity in other people.

Also, I have a Middle Eastern family so can teach you how to make some hummus for really cheap, and I can make a mean vegetarian breakfast!
