Why I’m on Couchsurfing

About to embark on a trip round the world with my son. Love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. Don’t love package tours! Much prefer to meet and get to know local people and find the unexpected opportunities for intercultural exchange. It's these encounters, and the inspiration and learning they bring, that are the best part of travelling and which money simply cannot buy.

I look forward, too, to being able to host people from around the world, when we are back in home in 3 months time.

Took my son to South America on my own when he was 9 months old.

I’m a teacher, conservationist and social entrepreneur. I run my own social enterprise focused around nature based education, health and wellbeing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company (I hope) and converstation (English and Spanish). I can prepare a meal if you like- in return for your hospitality, though I’m no great cook- my son is better! He's good fun, chatty and is great with younger kids.
