About Me

I can't host from May to July, cause I won't be in Taiwan in this period.

I'm a 26-year-old woman from Taiwan. I like Philosophy, History, Psychology. In university I studied Art and Creative Industries, but after graduating I became an engineer. My interests are broad and I like anything that makes me think.

I didn't have many opportunities to travel abroad in the past, but I really want to know the bigger world. This year, with the help of the company, I was able to travel to Europe for three months. I really hope to meet friends from different countries through this opportunity. I thought about what to do best for me. I am not usually a person who likes to go shopping, and I don't often take photos of people or food, but I like to read, or spend hours talking about life and our thoughts with friends I haven't seen for a long time. I hope that when I go to a country, I could understand the history, geography, and people's customs there rather than taking pictures in front of majestic buildings. I also want to know a person's daily life, a person's work, feelings, family, what they are thinking, whether they are happy. I would also love to share my history, how I think. I think daily life is the most authentic appearance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I think about traveling, I know that simply visiting popular places is not what I want. I would rather be able to communicate with people. If only I could understand others and make friends!

I like the concept of trust and openness in couch surfing, and I also understand that such kindness needs to be protected. I am looking forward to sharing stories with people from different countries and cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical music, chords, symphony, or any music that touches my emotions. Music is like an emotional language, which is very interesting. I've been enjoying Ayaan Hirsi Ali's podcast lately, and I've also enjoyed Jordan Peterson's psychology course. My recent favorite book is Man's Search for Meaning, and I also like Far From the Tree.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I didn't go to high school, but I still got into university.
I didn't study computer science, but I still became an engineer.
Life is full of surprises, when I really want to achieve something, I do my best.

Teach, Learn, Share

Now I'm a front-end engineer, but in the past I've done metal work like welding, filing, forging metal, jewelry design. I am learning the violin. I also like singing. I used to help my grandfather grow rice.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All my time outside of work, but if you want some quiet or solitude, I'm also pretty self-sufficient. I am a good listener, and I like to understand others. I can also share with you my past, how I live, and my views.
