About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just enjoy every moment of my life :)

ABOUT ME

It’s really hard to talk about yourself ... at least for me.
But I will try to maintain objectivity and not get bored anyone who will read this ;)
I am a very optimistic and enthusiastic about anything that can life bring. In friendship, I am faithful and loyal, and with newly-met people I am open and curious – curious of the people and their story. ‘Cause everyone has a story…
The thing I hate is the hypocrisy and when people take advantage of others.
My motto is “What does not kill you makes you stronger”. I know it’s cliché but it’s true.
A large part of my life and its current appearance is the result of lucky coincidences.
I've never tried to force anything or make it happen sooner. What is to be, will be. It doesn’t mean that I just sit back and wait for things to happen. I like to have an impact on my life, but sometimes I just let the fate to show it’s face and help me to manage my life.
Such thinking has helped me a lot during the last year. It was the time of many significant changes in my life. I took everything that happened as starting a new chapter in my life. And so it did :)
Now I work as a tutor and I’m the master of my time, no one tells me what and when I should do (it’s a great feeling). The other changes allowed me to focus on myself and my dreams and goals... So now I can really work on my self-development and on developing my passions.
My way of thinking has also made me meet the people whom with all the conviction I can call my true friends for good and bad... and for that I am grateful.
I think a lot is still ahead of me and with a big smile I’m looking forward to each day and everything it can bring.

PHILOSOPHY

I don’t have any particular philosophy of life, beyond what I’ve already written in “About me” section...
What does not kill you makes you stronger. Sometimes you have to rely on fate and see what the new day will bring.
The changes are not a bad thing, they let us start from the beginning and try something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I’m just meeting new people and let them know me a bit during local CS meetings and gatherings.
Currently, I can’t host any surfers, but I would be happy to help as a guide and show the city or just provide you the company, if you want to go for a good cup of coffee or a beer :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As someone fresh in the topic, I don’t’ have too much CS experiences. For now, they are limited only to the local CS meetings and gatherings.

Interests

It’s impossible to me to mention here everything I’m interested in. One, because there are definitely things that I don’t know about, and that would be interesting to me. Two, because there are too many things I’m fascinated by.
But for sure there are things without which I can’t imagine my life - books and music.
And also from the childhood I’ve loved to draw and a couple of years ago I got interested in exotic animals... Therefore I have an iguana at home :)
I also share my living space with a chinchilla and a dog (he's my man ;) ) - Great Dane called Fresk.

Music, Movies, and Books

It would take too much time and space to write about it, so I don’t even want to start. If you want to talk with me about literature, music or movies, I’m open to that but be prepared for a really long conversation ... ;) And I think that even then we could not fully expend the topic.
However, to make the direction in which the discussion might go known, below I’m writing the titles of 5 books, names of bands/musicians and titles of films that I like. It is not Top 5, because I can’t choose my 5 favorite books, bands and movies. :)

Books:
1. Mikhail Bulgakov "The Master and Margarita"
2. Milena Wójtowicz "Załatwiaczka"
3. Joanthan Carroll - The Crane's View Trilogy
4. Tess Gerritsen - medical thrillers series
5. J.R.R. Tolkien "Lorg of the Rings"

Bands/musicians:
1. Turboweekend (they're my no. 1!)
2. Coldplay
3. Kings of Leon
4. Fenech-Soler
5. Moby

Movies:
1. Seven Pounds
2. The Matrix Trilogy
3. Pride & Prejudice
4. Avatar
5. Boondock Saints

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There were definitely more than two...

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, when it comes to things I can teach, of course languages - English and Polish. Additionally, if anyone is interested I am doing a delicious penne with spinach and gorgonzola. We can also meet to talk about music, movies, or a good book...
As for me and the thing I would like to learn… With many on my list, the top ones for now are:
- Learning French
- Climbing
- And I’m considering starting to play some musical instrument, maybe piano or guitar, but I don’t say no to other opportunities :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
