ABOUT ME

my youngest of 5 children left for college in fall 2011. I am single after 29 years of marriage. I love , experiencing awe and wonder for Life, playing basketball, frisbee, dancing, communing in Nature, singing, expressing my authentic self including my child-like exuberance, delight, and beginner's mind, feeling heart connection with everything, especially people, and especially with people who also value heart connection

I feel extremely grateful to be alive, and prioritize being a positive contribution to whatever activity i am involved in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love being open to whatever Life presents to me, including going places without having a place to stay and seeing what happens. I went to a 2 day event in Maryland 130 miles from my home and was invited to stay at a participant's house. She had a house guest who's close friend was the best friend of one of my son's and who couch surfed at our home for most of the last 2 years of high school. I had a wonderful time staying for a week in a group home with several folks and cooking, dancing, and hanging out together. I've hosted a couple of times with interesting folks who have added to my life.

Interests

I love knowing about the nature of existence from the macro-level of Universal unfolding to the micro-level of quantum physics. I am interested in whatever ways folks have to connect joyfully with themselves, others and Life.

Music, Movies, and Books

uplifting, clever, humorous books and movies. lots of types of music i can sing and move to, with my roots in the 60's and 70's -- Beatle's, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Santana.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended 4 of my children being born at home, one in the water and one where my wife and I were alone with our two other kids and I was the midwife.

Teach, Learn, Share

Evolutionary Spirituality, basketball, frisbee, parenting, NVC - needs-based communication, nutrition, relationships. I find ways to add more play to all that I do

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a fabulous dish washer, I am a good cook of basic meals, I studied nutrition 40 years ago and have been eating nutritiously ever since, I play Frisbee and basketball very well. I spent 4 years as a spiritual devotee of Swami Muktananda in the 70's and love sharing expanded consciousness with people, and discussing how to bring transformation to ourselves and the world
