About Me

I've always lived in Singapore and have often wondered what's it like to be in another country. I've done backpacking and love it. Culture is something I look forward to when I travel and the best things, I feel, that make it are a country's food and language. My inquisitiveness and open-mindedness has led me to wanting to learn from others, and in the process befriending others from my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never hosted someone other than friends. Due to my busy schedule, I might only be able to do so for weekenders to my country. I have always been well taken care of by hosts from other countries, but mostly with AirBnB. Even if I may not be able to host travellers in my house, I am always more than happy to be a host to bring my guests to experience my country and seek like-minded travellers for future adventures together.

Interests

I try to hit the gym every week, at least three times a week. I like running but prefer to do some outdoors. I am contemplating to get back to Muay Thai (like I first started couple years back). I am also in love with cooking and find time to do so. Music is another love and you will often find me going for a concert or a music festival. But of them all, travelling would be one of the best things that I have learned to love over the years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time in Luang Prabang (Laos), I climbed a tree almost 3 metres tall, and jumped into a lustrous blue lagoon with a gushing waterfall - about 3 metres deep. The best thing was swinging off a rope tied to a tree and launching myself into the water - this was probably the most fun I've had in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

For those who would love to experience the food culture in Singapore, I am more than happy to give you tips on where to sniff out some of the best. I always love a good exchange of culture and languages with travellers - as long as we can understand each other.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, North Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
