About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I need to see the world.
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm Jamie. I graduated college, and wasn't ready to settle into a career. (ha!) So, I moved across the country with two cats to the lovely city of Portland (the city where young people go to retire), at the end of May 2011. I knew no one, had a little bit of savings (that is now all gone), had no job, or place to live lined up. Guess what? It's the best decision I have ever made.
Now, I need to meet people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have absolutely none!
Interests
"What do you like to do for fun?" is probably my least favorite question to get asked. (Besides those dumb behavioral questions in a job interview. "So tell me about a time when...") What I think is fun is probably not really all that enjoyable, or interesting, to you.
But here goes: writing, reading, Netflix streaming, drinking coffee, discovering new beer, laughing (I do it far too often), traveling (I don't do it nearly enough), and oh.. playing boardgames (but preferably not Monopoly).

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't say I have a favorite movie or book, but I do have favorite television shows: Dexter, Six Feet Under (the one series to ever make me cry at the end!), Seinfeld, Jeopardy!, Mad Men, and (I may have a few reality television guilty pleasures...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think moving to a city where I knew absolutely no one was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach gymnastics for a living, so if you have always wanted to learn how to do a cartwheel (or a flip), I would be more than willing to teach you for free (or in exchange for a beer.)
