About Me
ABOUT ME
The about me section is always nerve-wracking to write. It feels like I am doing an exam or something.. But here we go.
I'm a tall (193 cm/6'4"), handsome young man from the southern part of Norway. I was raised in a christian home, decided to follow Him around my early/mid-teens, and I am eternally and constantly thanking Him for his grace in my life.
In my early years, I could never find just one thing I loved to do, so I joined one thing after the other. Gymnastics, football (soccer), karate, badminton, breakdance, you name it. All through my childhood, I did have a fascination for the incredible world of the imagination. So in later years, after a failed year at university trying to get into programming and two year break from school, the realization that I burned for the written word became apparent.
I want to learn new languages, travel, grow in maturity and my walk with God, take pictures and write stories, get married, spread the word of God, love more and smile.
CURRENT MISSION
To grow a network on the site, then travel across the US in one or two years (2016 or 2017).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am planning a trip through the US after my studies, and what better way to travel than meeting new and wonderful people!
Couchsurfing has also been something I have know and talked about now and then, but never done anything about. Time to change that!
WHY AM I NOT HOSTING?
Worry not, the only reason I do not host other people, is that I have no place to host others in. If and when I get my own place, I might start hosting too.
Interests
Writing: Being a guy with an imagination the size of pi's decimals and a passion for language and communication, being interested in writing is no surprise. I like writing most genres, but my heart beats the strongest for fantasy. I am in the process of beginning to think about starting writing a book, but my inspiration is lacking at the moment.
Photography: I am not really sure when my love for photography started, but in the past 6 years or so, I have been enthralled by this art of light. I become like a child when I meet experienced photographers or other enthusiasts like myself. I take pictures of everything I can, even though there are mostly animals, people and really up-close nature pictures that fills my SD-cards.
Observing people: This might sound a bit creepy or odd, but I like people, and I love to step back and try to understand them better. The world is filled with all kinds of personalities, and as a writer, nothing is more thrilling.
Working with my hands: Being a man with ADD (Attention-Deficit Disorder), longer periods without doing something practical makes me restless and annoyed. But if you thought that was something negative, think again. I love working with my hands, whether it is garden-work, carpentry, decorations or the dishes (though the dishes is not my favorite practical pasttime), I am eager to get going.
Reading: Being transported into a new world with new experiences. There is really not much else that can beat a good book.
Video Games: I grew up with a Nintendo 64. My first four games were Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario 64. These days, I am weening off games, but I play Super Smash Brothers for Wii U with my brother often, when I am at my parents place,
Apologetics: Ravi, Lewis, Craig. Always a good time, and good lessons to be heard or read.
Bible Study: Learning, understanding and growing more with the word of God is something I really enjoy doing.

You can't do this to me. That's not fair. That's like asking me to choose a favorite breath. I'm not having it!
