ABOUT ME

I am a adventurous but responsible guy travelling south east Asia together with my girlfriend Ellen. I'm studying Software Engineering, so I guess you can call me geek/nerd to some extent, but I also love the wilderness and physical challenges.
Neither of us are party people, more of introverts really, but we still like to meet new people and explore new places.

Interests

I like problem solving. Usually in the form of working with computers and making the software work. At the same time I also like hiking and training. Both I and my girlfriend Ellen practise a Japanese martial art called Taido; not the optimal self defence but it looks cool and it's a good workout.
We both also like photography. My sister is a professional full-time photographer and I share her interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking the Beijing subway to a station we though was in the vicinity of where we needed, realizing it wasn't and running in a random direction through the rain. Finding an abandoned shed and waiting for the rain to lessen. Walking back the way we went running, seeing a Wallmart and going in to see what they sell. Totally forgetting about the rain and buying a bicycle (and a helmet) each and riding home through the somehow appearing sunshine.

First time seeing the mountains of Yangshuo illuminated during the night as we arrive tired and hungry in an old bus from Guilin. Wow!

Teach, Learn, Share

We will try to help out with what we can. If you want to practice your English we are happy to talk to you (otherwise too ^^). We could teach you some cool moves from the martial art we're practising ;) If we find the ingredients, we can also cook you some Swedish food :)
