About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Curious and eager to better understand the many worlds within our world
ABOUT ME
Fortunately there is much more about me than can be fitted into this box...
I am momentarily affording my full forebearance to my curiosity as well the determination I have to get to know as much and as widely about this world as I can. I'm ever working to be more open and inclusive, to become a better listener, observer, as well as better relay of such.
Born and raised north of the Arctic circle in Narvik, Norway, I carry many of the characteristics common to that society - some of which are good, others less good. Travelling helps me identifying which characteristics are to be further groomed and which are best discarded or altered.
To whomever is reading this; if our paths should cross, I would like to get to know you. What better way to learn?
PHILOSOPHY
Although my understanding of it is very limited, I enjoy aspects of the postmodern philosophical tradition, i.e. each individual has his/her own reality, and we make our own reasons for living our lives, however they may be.
This, for me, entails that tolerance of other ways of life is of the utmost importance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have yet to try out the real couchsurfing experience. To begin with I'm looking to use this as a means of getting in touch with people in new locations.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a first-season CouchSurfer. Previous experiences with staying in peoples' homes have come about through previous acquaintance. Good experiences, I might add.
Interests
To not sound too dry, I'll begin by saying that I've been a life-long football fan. Less so now though.
My main interests revolve around international politics. That could mean a lot...and it does. It's also a lot more wide-reaching and interesting than it sounds.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: If I had to choose a favourite author it would probably be George Orwell. The main reason would be that he writes to bring a message across, but always has literary aestethics in mind.
Film: Big fan of well made and thought-provoking documentaries. Hard to say which movies I prefer, as I can enjoy most genres (from historical drama to Bollywood to nearly the most ridiculous Hollywood action movies (but just nearly..)).
Music: It depends on the mood and the atmosphere. Most music works for some setting or another. My preferred genre, though, is rock of the semi-hard type. Rage Against the Machine fits the bill.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spectacular northern light dancing across the sky, and the return of the sun to the far north of the earth after more than two months out of sight.
