About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Tread lightly upon earth.

ABOUT ME

Honestly, to most people I'm "that guy with the hair". Well, I'm a reliable, curious hippie-wannabe with high moral standards. I'm easy-going and open to new thoughts, trying my best not to judge others too much (nor myself, which is even harder). I prefer the word knowledgeable over intelligent, but maybe I'm both. Study architecture (because I want to live in a world where there are no bad neighborhoods). Vegan, green activist and nuts about everything environment.

PHILOSOPHY

I do not wish to possess a philosophy, so I asked Kant to share his categorical imperative with me. "Sure", he said.
In addition, I strife to see a community based world, I want to be part in building a system of respect, as opposed to the system of egoism of today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love the world to be a place of sharing, instead of building walls. Now, when I move back to Sweden, I want to give you the chance to stay in pretty but expensive Stockholm.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the pleasure to host people with just the right amount of quirkiness and relaxedness, and stayed with and enjoyed cities with lovely fellow humans in many corners of the world!

Interests

Table-top games (with or without drinking). Politics. Art. Day dreaming about world peace and me saying smart things to people in the past. City planning. Dancing (better said: swinging my limbs uncoordinated to music while thinking I look like Michael J). Walking for hours in cities without knowing where to. Taking photos of doors and signs. Trying to draw stuff. Talking about 70's rock music, Arabic language history, problems with time traveling, feminism, dance moves as a means of transportation, political isms, best colours to put on hats or a million other silly or serious things that interest me or other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Memento, Fyra nyanser av brunt, Hasse & Tage, Amarcord etc.
Ambient, Led Zeppelin, Mogwai, cheesy 90's hits, Queens of the stone age, bob hund etc.
Cather in the rye, encyclopedias, naiv.super, hitchhikers guide ttg etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can still remember the wind in my hair as I ride a horse across the Arizona desert (well, a rather tiny part of it, but still).
My best travel experience I had as an 18-year-old. Me and my friend grabbed some cash, went to the airport and asked for the first flight that day; "Paris, sounds great, let's go there.". We went on traveling without any plan whatsoever, with tram across the Belgian coast and sleeping in as well scaffolds as romantic hotels. The trip didn't last longer than the money, but that week I learned more about traveling than in any other trip I've made.
Other things that made me happy: learning to juggle; feeling the warmth of the sun on my back on the first spring days; concerts with dave matthews band, the hives and anything jazz and finally every time I get the chance to think better of someone, including myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make good and cheap vegan food.
Also master trivia (did you know that if you measure from the sea bottom Mauna Kea on Hawaii is over 1300 meters higher than Mt Everest?)
I want to know more about guerrilla gardening, magic tricks, repairing stuff. If you can give me photo or drawing lessons that's also welcome and needed!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Can teach you how to juggle in two hours (promise!) and I do consider doing the dishes to be kind of meditative. Oh, and I make great peanut butter milkshakes :)
