About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Well. It's pretty basic stuff. Just to simply meet & greet, share imaginative stories, hear about peoples adventurous lives, explore urban environments. Live basically.

ABOUT ME

I am a student currently living in Århus to finish my studies at the university. I use my days listening to music, going to cultural events, hanging out with friends, meeting people and exploring the city. I like going out, especially to outdoor events in the summertime and generally I am just enjoying life and whatever winding roads it takes me down.

PHILOSOPHY

Be humble, be openminded, explore, create and break down barriers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering a good chat, an interesting look at the second biggest city in Denmark and a cup of tea or coffee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am relatively new to the whole concept. But I have been co-hosting a couple of times, and found it interesting and simply a great, warm and important concept to challenge the individualist nature of modern societies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/TV: There will be blood, Taxi Driver, Lost in translation, The squid and the whale, Fight Club, Apocalypse Now. The Wire, Parks and Recreation, Twin Peaks, Arrested Development etc.Music: From Radiohead and The Cure, over the Atlantic Ocean to Flying Lotus, The National and Wu-Tang Clan, travelling back across the North Atlantic Ocean and into the Gulf of Guinea, more accurately Lagos, Nigeria, where Fela Kuti is dancing on his grave with Tony Allen drumming it away, then going back towards Europe, with parties in France to the sounds of Daft Punk, nodding with the head to 2562 in the Netherlands, dancing till 11 in the morning to the electronic sound of Berlin and then back to the afterparty hosted by some of the quieter sounds of Lulu Rouge, Mikael Simpson and Trentemøller in the late afternoon sun of Aarhus, Denmark.Among my favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell, Erich Maria Remarque, Joseph Conrad, Cormac McCarthy etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Angkor Wat

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always been curious. So I like any kind of story, may that be personal anecdotes, weird jokes, local histories or just about anything as long as it is told with enthusiasm.

I can help with debates concerning the state of European and World politics, and I am gladly sharing my knowledge of cultural theory, which might be a quite effective lullaby:)
