Overview
About Me
"Living and loving San Diego South (on the other side of the border)."
Love to travel; at the moment, mostly in Mexico where I live part-time. Working on a film project and do some pretty heavy-duty volunteer work in the community where I live in Baja, California (ecological, voting from abroad, and performing arts). Just finished a six-show run of Little Shop of Horrors where I sang, danced, and acted in the role of Ronnette -- can you imagine a 60-something-year-old playing one of the street urchins? -- probably says all that needs to be said about me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Could be a great way to meet new people and visit new places -- new faces, new places!
Music, Movies, and Books
Bossanova may be my favorite genre, but love all kinds of music. Currently, I perform with a community choir and in a barbershop (a capella) octet. Also love karaoke! Jazz, Mexican, opera, and some country and popular. Singing ballads and classic jazz standards are what I like to sing. I'm a beginner guitarist.
Gravitate to books and movies that are based on true life stories.
Will watch almost anything at a drive-in movie!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bought a new Marine Trader trawler and fully outfitted it for scuba diving tours. The business barely got off the ground before it went into the ground. Maybe someday I'll tell you my crazy "Bought a Boat" story.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a lifelong learner, my friends are never surprised at what I'm doing next. Teaching and sharing what I know from books, school, Google, and life experiences is probably what I value the most!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A comfortable bed in Baja! Maybe I'll drag you out for a beach cleanup, an eclectic Mexican market, or a night of karaoke.
