My name is Joan and I am a passionate traveller. I have been to more than 50 countries on countless adventures and experiences. After a wild student life, now I have settled in Palma de Mallorca, close to my homeisland of Formentera. Notwithstanding my current routinary life, I managed to gain a profession that makes me keep travelling (in aviation!), and I can keep meeting interesting people and places.

I had a previous account years ago which I closed, so I lost all my references and cool memories from my surfer times in Brasil, Norway, Russia, etc. Now its time to build it again from a host perspective :)). Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Best times of my life have been on international travel experiences. I love meeting people, cultural exchanges, learning languages, and just about everything that involves going around and discovering new things. My past experiences on couchsurfing had been really good, so I wish to continue be involved with the platform.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For example, I climbed a snowy mountain in Tromsø to stare at the aurora boreal (-16º!!). I also did parapenting in switzerland. Climbed a mountain in Wales, Via Ferratas in the Canadian Fjords. Spotted a Puma in Patagonia. Surfed in Sri Lanka. Swam with whales in Philippines. And many more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook really well and give very interesting speeches about aviation, travelling and any activity that involves a plane with a cold fresh beer :)
