HI :) I'm Joana but you can call me Ju, Juju or Xuxu. I'm 20 years old, I'm from Lisbon, but I'm currently doing Erasmus in The Netherlands. I love doing gymnastics, traveling, meeting new people and different cultures and, of course, to have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, my biggest interest is not visiting the most famous museums or seeing the historical monuments, but to experience the life of a local during my stay. So I believe the best way to meet a city and learn about the county's culture is by getting to know the locals. I also think that the whole concept and idea of couchsurfing, sharing experiences, stories, cultures and house is just amazing.

Also, I feel that as an erasmus student, always meeting new people and growing as a human being, is making me become more open minded and growing in so many aspects, that completely changed my way of seeing life and, of course, the way i want to live it!

Music, Movies, and Books

My dad is a Jazz musician, so I grew up in the middle of the music industry and with music playing 24/7 at my house. But, to my dad's sadness, I'm more into pop and comercial music right now ahaha
Unfortunately, I don't read as much as I would like to, but "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" was definitely one of the books that touched me the most. Regarding movies, I like everything from comedy to drama!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to teach every thing I know (not only about my country, but about life in general) and share some of my adventures' stories, like all my gymnastics trips. I am a really open minded person and I love hearing everything that people want to tell and teach me.

I can cook some really good salads and healthy food :)
