Overview
About Me
I was born in Helsinki. At two months old I came to Portugal, where I currently live. From my mother I got the Portuguese nationality and from my father the Finish. I’m one of 7 siblings in a house where we speak 4 different languages.
I believe that "we are what our experiences make us be”. Which means what we learn (filter and interpret) from our own experiences is constantly shaping the person we are.
Likewise, I believe that every experience, moment, conversation or any other little thing that I’ve been through built who I am today.
I grew up hiking Sintra's mountains, enjoying the smell of the soil on rainy days and waking up on a tent with the sound of the birds or thunderstorms. I used to walk barefoot wherever I would go (with my grandfather coming after me saying I would get ill!!). I remember picking the grapes from the vineyards, and going to buy the fish late in the afternoon, when the fishermen's boats at the beach.
With my family I have learned the importance of having a comfort zone and getting out of it, as well as the importance of exploring the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My motivation is to live and go through as many experiences as I can to enrich my soul and my path, and also to be able to do the same to everyone I meet :)
