Hello ☺️ ! Im Joana , 22 years old and living in Almada, Portugal. Im a very curious person that loves to learn new things and live new experiences, getting out of my comfort zone is a must! I like photography, writing, reading, cinema, videography and styling, anything that's more in the arts department basically ahah.
I also love to travel, I love the fact that I always get out with a new perspective on things after a trip, it really enlightens your world view and your outlook changes. It's absolutely fantastic.
In the summer of 2021, I did an international volunteer work camp for the first time here in Portugal, it completely changed me in the sense that I got to know new people with whom I still talk today and hosted already some times in my house, and because of that experience I felt a new feeling... freedom and liberation. It's not that I usually feel stuck or bad in my life ahah it's just that travelling, meeting new people and having new experiences really makes you feel like a free spirit. I crave for that feeling.
Apart from this, im also ambitious, calm, introverted and generous 🌷. I love animals too 🐶🐱🐴.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first Couchsurfing experience was in the summer of 2022 in Italy. I got hosted by an amazing and incredible generous man, Daniele, that let me and my two friends stay in his house. This idea, to be hosted through Couchsurfing, came because one of my friends that I met in the volunteer work camp in 2021 in Portugal, have had already used Couchsurfing and recommended to us that experience. Im not going to lie.... I was reluctant because I've never experienced before someone that didn't know us let us stay in their home, I was a bit scared actually ahah. But in the end, we had an amazing time, I got to make a friend in Italy and lived the Couchsurfing experience which is just heart filling and wonderful.
