About Me

I am a 24 years old Portuguese girl who loves to travel, meet new people and experience different cultures. I am a firm believer that "life starts at the end of your comfort zone"!

I see the couchsurfing experience not only as a "house sharing" opportunity but above all as a culturally enriching experience. I hope we can connect and share with each other travel experiences and personal adventures in order to foster cultural exchange and grow as individuals!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always loved the concept behind couchsurfing, the first time I actually did it was during my four months as an exchange student in Macao, China. While I was there, I wanted to travel as much as I could and I wanted to involve myself into the culture - all of this while living with a student budget - and that was when I thought about joining the couchsurfing community!

While I was in China I had the chance of doing couchsurfing in Hong Kong (several times) and in Guangzhou (South China) and I couldn't have had better experiences! I have no doubt couchsurfing is one of the most amazing experiences someone can possibly have while travelling!

After coming back to Portugal, I also hosted couchsurfers at my house and it made me really happy to be able to show others my country.

Interests

My favorite thing to do has to be travelling. There are not many other things that make as happy as travelling. The feeling of going to somewhere new, meet new people, learn a new language and involve myself into a different culture is something unbeatable!
You know what they say about "once you start travelling, you don't stop"? Well, I couldn't agree more and I honestly plan to stay true to this quote.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending four months as an exchange student in Macao, China was one of the best experiences I've ever had.
I'm not even going to try to describe what this experience was because no matter what I say, it won't do any justice to what this meant to me. Overall, I will just say that I feel so grateful and happy for every single day I spent there!
