Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend Ben and I are looking for places to stay as we travel from Michigan to Portland from July 10-22nd. In the places we stop where we don't know folks it would be great to experience the town from a local point of view VS a tourist point of view.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic Tagalog. I'm learning ukulele, would love to share or learn more from others. I want to learn more string instruments like guitar and banjo as well. I can share what I know about community organizing and engage in discussions around that as well as things related to the Philippines/Filipino(a)s - if anyone is interested :) I am also cool with shutting that off and just enjoying each moment to moment as well.
