About Me
Hello everybody! How are you? I'm Joan, from Barcelona. Well, not actually from Barcelona. I mean, I live here, but I'm from Esponellà, a little village not far from Barcelona. But no worries, I don't expect you to know it. Nobody does.
I work in an advertising agency called McCann (maybe you know it from Mad Men?) as a copywriter, trying to turn advertising into something less awful for all of us. Not easy.
What else... I love travelling, reading, writing, watching movies... And meeting new people. Oh, and pizza. I fucking love pizza.
So hopefully we'll meet soon! Cheers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I love traveling and meeting new people. Combine that and what you get is something like couchsurfing! Everytime I've used it has been awesome. You don't only get to know a new place, city or whatever but you get to know somebody who tells you everything about that place, shows it to you... And that is exactly what traveling its about!
So I'm here, basically, to have some fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
A favorite record: hard to tell.. Although while I'm updating my profile I'm listening to "Sticky fingers"!A favorite movie: Fargo or Big Lebowsky. Right now Big Bang Theory is on the TV. But I'm watching it while I'm writing this and listening to Sticky Fingers as I said, so I don't even know why the TV is on! A favourit book: La ciudad de los prodigios by Eduardo Mendoza is pretty awesome. Right now I'm reading On the road by Jack Kerouac! Not right now, I mean I think it's enough with listening to sticky fingers, while updating my profile and watching Big Bang Theory at the same time!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Had a car crash in the middle of the Australian desert while traveling around the country. And survived. That's the incredible part I guess.
- Saw the sunset at Cable Beach, in Broome, Australia, a few times. And I can tell you that that is pretty incredible.
- Found my fist job in advertising in the middle of the biggest economic crisis ever. Fuck you Wall Street.
- Walked under the north face of Eiger, in Switzerland. Provably the most impressive mountain I've ever been to. Would be more impressive if I told you that I climbed it, but I'm not that cool. Yet.
