ABOUT ME

Call me Jo. Free spirited, nomadic artist and teacher. I drum, strum, hum, write, and perform. Currently living in LA, working with at-risk youth (not a fan of that term) via the Arts. I'm passionate about Art Therapy and Art as a wellness practice. If you hear my poetry & music, you will understand.

I never stay in one place too long. I have begun a journey of self actualization and balance, always willing to give up all I have to gain Self. The sky is my roof and this planet is to be explored. Taking random road trips, boarding planes, finding refuge in the mountains, and putting my art before all else are things that bring me joy.

I can meditate with you, explore the outdoors, cook with you (or try lol), freestyle, jam on some instruments, and talk politics or spirituality all night. Or I can stay completely out of your way and fend for myself. It's up to you lol.

I love animals. And, I love Love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't surf because I just seek a "free hotel" wherever I go. I truly enjoy traveling, connecting with people, learning new things, and sharing my art. My experiences both in and outside of couchsurfing has been humbling when it comes to that. Being on the road while dwelling in nature and making new friends brings me validation, encouragement and peace.

So far, I have woken up everyday, breathing, and in good health.
