About Me

I am currently about to embark on the great Kiwi right of passage - My OE.

I haven't had a lot of opportunity to travel overseas previously - Although I have seen a lot of New Zealand from Stewart Island right to Cape Reinga. I was born in rural New Zealand and spent a lot of my early years on the family farm and adjusted to 'townie' life afterwards.

I studied at the University of Otago; Bachelor of commerce in accounting and marketing. Although I have realised of late I'm not a career orientated person - I work to live I don't live to work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Instead of waiting around for a friend to decide they want to come with me, I made the decision to go it alone. As I know very few people in the UK I though couchsurfing would be a great opportunity to meet the locals and experience the true culture of the places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my all time favourite movies is Inside Man. Love the Xmen movies, Marvel Comic movies in general.

I also love a good romance. I avoid sad endings at all costs - never seen The Notebook and I don't plan to. I accidentally watched A Walk to Remember thinking it was all happy endings and butterflies it took a while to get over that one.

Anyone I can discuss GOT and TWD theories with is a win.

When I get time I love reading. Bit of a nerd for the Harry Potter series. I recently read Gone Girl and thought it was a great read even if it left me confused as hell.
