About Me
Like everyone on this site, I have the travel bug. More recently I have been able to travel more and hope to continue this trend! I was born and raised in Poland, now live in Chicago, which I love. I work as a medical social consultant - helping families with sick children, really enjoy my job. Chicago is great for exploring, many festivals, art galleries, amazing restaurants, indie theaters and interesting hidden spots.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to meet people from all over. When I stay with someone, it's really the best way to meet locals (my favorite part of traveling!)
Interests
Books, dancing, movies, festivals, cooking and TRAVEL! With each trip I feel as if I'm just beginning to see the world, there's so many more places to see. My favorite things about traveling is meeting people, seeing how they live and the food!! I also appreciate the history and the culture of each place I visit. I love art itself and every expression of creativity. I'm an amateur foody, my favorite food is Peruvian. I'm also interested in human and immigtant rights, and traveling gives you a first hand look at this issue.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Machu Picchu- I don't think I have to say much, I really couldn't believe I was actually there. Amazing, almost magical!!
The Louvre- I got some major goosebumps being surrounded by so much magnificent art. An art geek's fantasy!!
San Juan Chamula church - a church in which a blend of pre-Mayan traditions and Spanish Catholic traditions are practiced. Unlike anything I've ever seen. No pews, floor is covered in pine boughs, medicine men feel a person's pulse to figure out the remedy, which involved drinking some type of fluid, mostly Coca Cola (ask me why!)
GALAPAGOS - nuff said!
