Hey there! My name is Joanna and I am a free spirit - simply flowing where life takes me :) I've been travelling since February 2022! I am friendly, open minded and adventurous, and love to meet new people and exchange ideas/ energies with a variety of different beings.

I am a Sacred Sound and Kundalini Reiki healer who works with the plant medicine of Cacao in ceremony. I also offer Shiatsu massage (combined with sound healing), Divination readings (tarot, oracle, pendulum, psychic intuition), I'd be more than happy to offer anyone who hosts me a free healing session! :)

To extend my travels I have been volunteering on a platform called Workaway - staying with different hosts and exchanging daily work for free accommodation/meals. I've learnt so much already about permaculture, building structures, childcare etc and it's been a fun way to travel slowly and meet new people. I've also been house sitting long term in Mexico and Guatemala! I love the life I'm living!

I'm always happy to help out in any capacity whilst couch surfing :) I'm a damn good cook, love looking after animals, am strong and handy, and have single handedly built my fair share of ikea furniture.

I have a YouTube channel - The Art of Light Love - where I showcase a mixture of my travels as well as many of the lessons I've learned along the way! It's also a space for me to be creative and share poetry, music, and intuitive guidance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in staying with locals instead of at hostels (too many people) or hotels (not enough people)! I'm not a typical sightseeing tourist at heart, but I do like to try local foods, experience rich authentic cultures, oh and laze about in local parks! I'd love to be able to cultivate a community of conscious and diverse relationships around the globe!

LOTR trilogy (extended version ofc), anything fantasy fiction, Terry Pratchett's disc world series, anything satirical (think Tom Holt), my favourite book of all time is The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson (which I literally just found out was released this year as a film, *fangirl moment*), Harry Potter (books over films), The Celestine Prophecy, Uprooted by Naomi Novik, His Dark Materials, I could go on - no joke I think I've read thousands of books in my life so far!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to an impromptu festival in Bulgaria, and stayed up all night around a fire with beautiful strangers, only to watch the sun rise from behind a mountain in the morning and literally evaporate the morning dew before our eyes. It was the most magical scene I've ever witnessed ♥
