I've experienced teaching in different countries at a young age while living independently. These experiences taught me to have the sense of humility. Being alone helps you embrace and connect more with the culture and stories around you.

When you’re traveling with someone else, you share each discovery, but when you are alone, you have to carry each experience with you like a secret, something you have to write on your heart because there’s no other way to preserve it.

Learn that the world isn’t as scary as it seems. Learn that your own company isn’t bad and that you are capable of much more than you think.
