The best way to travel is to spend time with locals and have fun together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I created my own profile when I was in US working at the camp for children. Our contract finished earlier than supposed to end and I had to find a host for few days before had my flight booked. That was crazy!

However, I had started to be involved in couchsurfing before that situation because of a friend of mine (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/monia89poland). She has organized few trips (eg. Prague, Florence) and I'm happy that I could be a part of them, but that's why you cannot see the references on my profile.
