Healthy, happy, mature woman on my way to experience as much of this beautiful world as I can. Originally from the great city of Boston, Massachusetts, USA and now residing on lovely Cape Cod, the time has come to fulfill a lifetime dream of long term travel. When traveling, I seek natural beauty, wildlife, and, more than anything, engaging with people. I've been a classroom teacher, yoga teacher, business owner, sales person, non-profit fundraiser and now I'm just free and ready to have new experiences.

2018 Update: Since originally writing this, I have traveled extensively, lived for a year in NH, half a year off-grid at a yoga ashram in the far north of British Columbia and am in Asia for about 8 months. Now, I am exploring places to settle for awhile.

2022 Update: For the past 4ish years, I've lived in the beautiful Monadnock region of Southern NH. A great place to live and visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be traveling for a number of months in South America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The absolute best part of traveling and that which has the deepest impact is engaging with people from all over the world. By spending time with each other in simple, daily life, true understanding develops. My friends around the globe are very precious to me.

Interests

Yoga, health, fitness, cooking, nature, world events and learning new things, building/creating. I've been lucky that whatever I do, I find a passion for it. Currently, I'm expanding my yoga practice to include sound - mantra, kirtan - and learning to sing (finally!). Also, a life-long dream has been to play guitar and will get there bit-by-bit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Literally all kinds of music. I'm a big movie fan with a wide range of interests but, even after all of these years, Rocky is still my favorite.
I also enjoy reading a good mystery or adventure story but I find myself mostly reading non-fiction. Whenever I have a new interest, I want to read about it.

Other than raising two amazing young men....that's hard. I feel like my whole life has been an adventure. I guess I've started from 0 a number of times and it's always worked out beautifully.

It's been a very full and fascinating life so I have a quite a bit to teach. Sharing is my favorite thing to do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Yoga! Whether you are an absolute beginner or experienced practitioner, it would be a pleasure to practice yoga with you. Intelligent conversation and an interest in you and wherever you are. I can also share a nice peaceful visit and quietly take care of myself. I'll leave the place as clean (or cleaner) than when I came. Happy to cook if that comes up too.
