ABOUT ME
I love meeting people from different countries and cultures. Adventure is my middle name. I only have one thing on my bucket list: visit as many countries as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
"It's not good, it's not bad, it's just different."
"The best way to yourself is once around the globe"
"We are 7 billion people on this planet! We cannot assume that our point of view, our way of building relationships, our way to raise our children, or even our beauty standards should be the only right ones." Martyna Wojciechowska, the head of the Polish National Geographic

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel I feel like staying in a hotel or hostel would only give me half the experience of visiting a country. Cause what's a country without its people? That's why I'd also like to meet locals when in new places :)

Teach, Learn, Share
When I was 19 I went to Uganda where a pastor asked me why there aren't more white people visiting Africa and why they are afraid of Africans. I thought about the reactions I got from my friends and family when I told them I was going to Africa: "It's dangerous", "Wow, you're really courageous you're going there", "It's just you and your (female) friend? I wouldn't do that"...
In the five weeks I spent in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda I only felt my life was in danger once, but it wasn't because someone wanted to harm me but because we had a driver with a crazy driving style (which was probably more extreme for me as a German than for people from India, Turkey, Italy haha). Everyone was very helpful and courteous and it made me feel ashamed of how these countries are portrayed on Western media.
In that moment I decided to change that. I want to teach people that your skin color, religion, culture or language doesnt determine who you are and that we're all just humans.
As my motto says: it's not good, it's not bad, it's just different
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you the three words I know in Korean, the five in Kirwandan, the one in Quechua, the one saying apparently only used in some small area in Brazil, the drinking culture I experienced around the world (drinking in Korea has many rules for example, in Bolivia you basically just yell "culitos arriba!"), share my experiences and listen to yours.
