About Me
ABOUT ME
I have had some great experiences living abroad. I lived in Peru for seven months and studied at a university in Bilbao for a year as part of my degree. I've made a lot of friends from all over, and my favourite way to travel now is to visit people and see a place from their point of view. I work for the radio and moved from London to Manchester in 2011 so I'm enjoying getting to know a new city.
PHILOSOPHY
If you feel down just dance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a shared house so I can't really offer a bed (or a sofa), but I'm willing to show people round to the best of my ability.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is my first profile but I had a great coachsurfing experience with a friend of mine who has been a member for a few years. We were hosted by people in Texas and Louisiana and I was overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of the hosts. Unofficially I have some great experiences of people offering up their spare bed to me so it is great that there is a site that can help bring people together.
Interests
I love cooking, especially for lots of people. The main reason is probably because I love eating. Most of holidays revolve around food and I love trying new things.
I have a part of an allotment in Manchester now so I spend some of my time digging and planning what I'm going to grow.
I like going to see live music, films shown in unusual places and I LOVE dancing (but I may not be very good at it).

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my favourite books is the Master and Margarita. I also really like Cannery Row. anything by Borges and La Invencion de Morales by Bioy Caseres, which is a genius book.
I love old school soul singers like Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles, but I also love Belle and Sebastian, Robyn, Bright eyes and a bit of Nick Cave.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting to know someone on a plane to Iquitus in Peru and being invited to stay with her family in their house on the Amazon was something I'll never forget. Amazing t see the water through the cracks in the floor.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can knit (but I can't cast on), I can play the harmonica (but only one song)...Ok I'll have to come back to this one.
