About Me

NOTE: currently only last-minute requests.

READ BEFORE YOU REQUEST (I'm adding it due to one bad experience, forgive me the harsh language and caps but most people don't read anything here)

1) IF YOU'RE COMING TO KRAKOW FOR CLUBBING, MY PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. Look for a hostel, there are plenty of cheap ones here.
2) CS IS NOT TINDER. I don't date here.
3) READ the ADDITIONAL INFO in the section 'MY HOME'. and be aware that sometimes on WEEKDAYS YOU MUST GO OUT with me early in the morning and YOU CANNOT COME BACK after MIDNIGHT.

If it's your FIRST TIME on CS, please READ what CS really is and why it ISN'T just a FREE BED: https://www.angloitalianfollowus.com/why-couchsurfing-is-free-is-a-myth

CURRENT MISSION

Currently focused on meeting as many interesting people from all over the world as possible. Learning about cultures, languages, and experiences. Committed to the Kraków's Language Exchange Group as well.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 28 yo Polish girl from Krakow. I love new experiences – in every aspect of my life: my work, studies, traveling, reading, listening, watching, talking, talking and more talking, exchanging ideas, points of view, cultural aspects. As every historian, loving to see everything while sightseeing and always wanting to know: how and why. Museums, gothic churches, and monuments' lover. Maybe a bit too talkative. Vegetarian loving to cook. Animal lover, ruled by the cutest cat in the world, named Cervantes. Backpacker. Cycle weirdo who rides through Krakow all the year, till minus 15 degrees. Rather not a party person, loving to talk to people in a pub but not dancing in a club.

Both while hosting and while traveling, I prefer rather independent people. In Krakow, this is mainly due to the fact that I like my job and I work a lot so I don't have much spare time to share. While traveling, this is caused by my preference to see many museums, churches, and monuments, which for most people are simply boring (that's why I prefer to travel alone). However, if you have similar interests (humanities, culture, history, sightseeing), I'd love to spend as much time as I can with you and plan interesting activities together. This mainly depends on how well we get along. If we have an apparently mean connection, still, I don't mind if you stay at my place only if you respect my home, my time, and my routine. CS for me is all about mutual respect.

PHILOSOPHY
Libertarianism, rationalism, agnosticism, my own version of minimalism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS cause I strongly believe traveling without meeting local people is, in fact, not traveling. I'm here to share experiences, thoughts, and interests, not to dance and drink together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted 12 people so far, they almost all were kind and interesting people, we spent nice time together, in a few cases with my friends, showing them around and enjoying time in the pubs or at my place.
I've been hosted 17 times in general: in Madrid, Barcelona, Mediolan, Bergamo, London, Brno, Belfast, Saragossa, Prague, Olomouc, Kutna Hora, Bucharest (twice), Braşov, Alba Iulia, Naples and Ravello. I have great memories from those times. I also met some people from CS for a beer or coffee.
I often host friends of my friends and I also often use this way while I'm traveling so not all my experiences are here on CS.

Interests

Book editing and Spain! Scientific book editorship and book market are my first hobby that turned into my profession a few years ago. Then I love everything about Spain. I'm interested in the whole history (as I studied it), but especially in the medieval period in Spain.

Also: languages, cultures, nutrition.

Music, Movies, and Books

To many to write down.
For books one the most important authors is Dostoyevsky.
For movies dramas, historical movies, good (e.g. English) comedies, musicals.
For music look here: http://www.lastfm.pl/user/rocket--queen

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With my friends we had planned to go to Hungary by car at 10 pm and we went at 11 pm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some impossible-to-pronounce Polish words, how to prepare a vegetarian meal which doesn't taste like grass or how to pack for half a year in a hand luggage.
If I have spare time I can show you around in Krakow.

To explore Krakow see my what-to-do-eat-and-drink list: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ym8cAFSMLzRMsDQlnf81ALIS5yajQZwBZ30YYgiyq9g/edit?usp=sharing
