About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to know as many people and to share some part of my life with every person I meet.

ABOUT ME

I love life! I have travelled throughout most of Europe and Eastern Europe, but I think it's time to branch out and experience more of this world. Currently I am working as an AmeriCorps volunteer and I am hoping to start grad school soon! The most important thing in life is how many people you are able to love and get to know, so the more chances I have at that, the better my life will be, I think. I try to be peaceful and I love long conversations about life, the big things and the little things.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that life is rough and it's one long journey that we are all on together. The best we can do is to help each other out in whatever way possible until we reach the end. In the meantime, just take it easy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Try to give as much info about my native state of Arizona to fellow travelers passing through. Hoping that when I get to travel, I can find like-minded people who are willing to share what they will about their city as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Helsinki for a weekend and I have met up with a few surfers in Phoenix.

Interests

I love music and go through these music phases in my life. In high school, it was Led Zeppelin and classic rock (still is), in college it was indie music and now it's pretty much everything. I love art and culture and am pretty obsessed with books and coffee shops. I love traveling and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I already talked about music. I love all books. Favorite: Portrait of a Lady, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, too many more to name. I love all movies, but my favorite is probably Almost Famous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I have been stranded at the airport in Lithuania when I missed my flight and miraculously found another route to my destination by an 8 hour bus ride and 11 hour night train (to Bratislava). Instead of just giving up and going back home, I forged ahead. I spent a year working as a volunteer in Lithuania, a country where no previous volunteers had worked (with my organization). During this year, I was expected to "pave the way" and I must've been crazy thinking that I could do this, but some how I made it. That's pretty special, I think.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned that you cannot map out your life and expect that there is just a simple route for you to follow in life. Things never go how you expect them, but generally they turn out alright in the end. I would like to learn how to not worry about not getting the things I want.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
