About Me

CURRENT MISSION

READY.SET.ACTION.

ABOUT ME

I am a very kind, free-spirited, and passionate, driven individual. I am an extrovert. I feed off people's energy easily.I am driven because I am a first generation college student. I'd be the first person in both my mom's and dad's side to earn a B.A. So I am super excited about that. I also like new adventures! I also am a fighter for human rights. I'm an advocate for immigration reform, reproductive health, and the new economy, sustainability. I am also very opinionated and not afraid to speak up for what I stand for and believe in. However, I will listen and learn if you have a different perspective and will respect it. Overall, I am super nice, respectful and funny :). Most importantly, I AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT LIFE, MEETING NEW PEOPLE, and LEARNING!!!! :D

PHILOSOPHY

I live one moment at a time (so cliche but it's true) I dislike worrying about small things. I am a believer of a higher spirit but not sure what that higher spirit is...so I'm not religious. I like meditating and making sure I thank nature for it's beauty and life everyday.

Quotes I live by:
- "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein
- "The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves they find their own order: the continuous thread of revelation."
Eudora Welty
"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything."€
Plato
"œThere is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life."
Federico Fellini
"Life has no other discipline to impose, if we
would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes
to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate, or despise, serves to defeat us
in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil,
can become a source of beauty, joy, and
strength, if faced with an open mind.
Every moment is a golden one for those who
have the vision to recognize it as such." Henry Miller

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am providing space to anyone who wants to visit Boston!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love it! I've done it twice in NYC. I enjoyed the experience. It nearly changed the way I saw life...it was great!

Interests

I like to read books. Currently I am reading "This Changes Everything" by Naomi Klein. It's been very interesting so far. I like to write in my journal. I love listening to NPR each morning, afternoon, and evenings. I just can't get enough from it. So I'm a political junkie. I just like to learn about current events. I DO love dancing. Going out and having a great time with my friends is very important to me. My friends would say I am the light of the party. I love electronic music and going to music festivals. I run a lot everyday in the outdoors. Can't get enough of running either. I enjoy doing community organizing work for a start-up nonprofit. I love trying different kinds of food from all over the world...and I drink LOTS of coffee...espresso shots, anything with strong cofffee is good for me. I love music...all kinds. 70's rock, Dido, Kaskade, Salsa, Spanish guitar, Indie-rock, reggae...I love it all!

Music, Movies, and Books

Last Child in The Woods, Silent Spring, The Secret, lots of documentaries on corrupt societies and the health crisis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've helped so many people in my life through my nonprofit work. It's incredible what you can do with your energy and how people receive your energy. I love empowering individuals and individuals empowering me.

However I will say this: I decided to fast three days for the Dream Act. I protested, lobbied everything to pass this immigration but that was the first time I've actually felt the pain and sufferings of a marginalized population

Teach, Learn, Share

Had an awesome time CS in NYC! I have a good feeling that I will be hosting and CS more in the future :D
