ABOUT ME

Born and raised just outside of Detroit, I've moved around a lot since I was a kid. Greece, Philly, Ann Arbor, Fukuoka... I lived in Israel (Jerusalem and then Tel Aviv) for four years. (My politics veer far-left, if you're wondering.) For the last three and a half years, I've been in the Bay Area but I'm moving this fall to Santa Barbara to start a graduate program in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on religion and politics. I just got back from Mexico where I was learning Spanish -- muy lentamente, con ambo la frustracion y el placer. I write a lot, read a lot, think a lot. I love to dance and do yoga. I'm a bit allergic to cats but I can manage with some anti-allergy meds. On the other hand, I love dogs.
