Music, Movies, and Books
English patient would be ranked high on my movie list, it says “we are the real countries, not the boundaries draw on the map.” Loved it when I was very young. Before sunrise, before sunset is so romantic and i can’t ignore Ethan Hawk in Boyhood. I love those sweet movies and you can feel time flows from it.
For books, I read different books, Chinese novels, history book, art and philosophy. Virginia Woolf, Orhan Pamuk from Turkey, Milan Kundera, William Faulkner. Maugham blablabla. Recently my favorite book is Chinese ancient poems, called Chuci, 九歌. nine songs?LOL. I don’t know if i translate well, anyways it’s about the relationship between human and gods, human and ghost. Kind romantic. I wasn’t a good student in Chinese literature when I was a kid, I’d love to read western books, but when I grow older I feel like it’s great to look into the treasures of ur own culture.
Music: Blur. Muse. Imagine dragon. Oasis. cold play. The script. stromae. Radiohead. Eason chen. Debussy. YOyoma
