About Me
Hi there!
I'm glad you're checking out my profile.
Most of it was written in 2013 when I first couchsurfing.com. I had some great experiences couchsurfing back then, and always loved hosting other couchsurfers at the cooperative where I lived in those days. I considered rewriting my profile, but most of it remains quite true for me. I still love nature and music and art and friendships. I decided to reactivate my account, as I'm traveling in Europe on my own and I would really love to get to know some new people, and also travel on the cheap.
I'm currently traveling in Ireland. In October I was making my way through Italy and Greece and savoring every moment of it. I'm taking time away from my job as a substitute teacher, and working on a course online to pivot to a career in User Experience Design.
I love being out in nature. Community is deeply important to me and I get a lot of pleasure out of connecting to the people around me and working together to make new, cool things happen.
I'm artistic and create beautiful things, or scheme about creating things everyday. I love listening to and making music, I play the fiddle a little bit and can bop around on guitar.
I enjoy cooking and eating good, organic, local foods, especially with fellow mad culinary experimentors. I love creating a cozy, inviting home environment and being domestic- but I also really appreciate going out to new places, experiencing new people and cultures different from my own.
I'm a gentle soul and a pretty good listener.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a solo traveler, meeting, people in the places that I visit makes the experience about a million times better. I love making new connections, and being of service to people that I meet. Even if it's just washing the dishes, or helping out around the house, it helps me feel grounded as I'm traveling.
