About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Turn some sharp corners.

ABOUT ME

I live my life by an inexplicable and infinite set of mundane rules.

I am really really really really really pale.

I like film photography (but I always lose my lens cap...)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I'm hoping to surf a little. I'm moving to Montpellier for a year in August so can hopefully host there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed my way from NY to San Francisco with a friend in 2010 and had a great time (and then around Europe - equally great!).

Interests

I really really really like Moby Dick, hummous and doing the Guardian crossword. I love what I study and the opportunity it affords to obsess over tutors and random library infatuations. Sailing is just excellent, I am pretty shocking at it though. This is very hard to write...

Music, Movies, and Books

I could list all three for ever and ever...

I just read East of Eden and OH my god that book is incredible. Now I am reading Lord Jim and wishing I was Conrad. Poetry is the bossest of mediums (Frank O'Hara is a god).

I also recommend the Harvest of Tragedy and The Mirror and the Lamp because they will make you want to be a literature critic and will make you fall in love with the English language and are basically just incredible in every way.

The last film I loved was Moonrise Kingdom and I cannot WAIT to see Beasts of the Southern Wild when it comes out. You can never go wrong with Silence of the Lambs or 50s musicals.
