I am a 32-year-old Australian with Italian heritage, therefore, I guess you could say my biggest passions in life stem from a culture of love, food, communication, laughter and even more food! I am a self-confessed lover of travel, new experiences, laughter and meeting new people. I enjoy yoga, reading and a nice balance of social interaction and good quality downtime. I have been living abroad for the last 4 years and currently travelling the globe with my divine hubby James who is a massive sports fan and loves any opportunity to live, eat and embrace life like a local. We decided to take a year off to volunteer, explore and meet new people form all around the world.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

The biggest reason we decided to join Couchsurfing was to meet new people and share experiences that you can't get when staying in a hotel or even hostel. We love the idea of inviting guests into our home (when we eventually get back to Australia) and showing them a slice of our lives. As guests, we hope to learn more about the authentic way in which people live in their home countries. Most importantly, we want to be able to cook and eat together, enjoy a nice glass of prosecco or red wine and chat about life! Travelling this way provides opportunities to spend longer in places and therefore get the most out of your time abroad; I love this idea!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love all kinds of music but in particular, reggae and Latin music are my favourites. We both love house music and any chance we get to dance up a storm to a 90s classic or hip-hop/RnB tune.
We love a Netflix binge session and open to reading all types of books.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

A few years ago we sold our homes, business, cars and most of our possessions, resigned from our jobs and moved to Singapore. 4 years later, we have once again resigned from our jobs and taken 12 months off to explore the world.

I am a teacher so if you are looking at and improving your English skills I can help there. I know my way around a kitchen pretty well and also have a background in hospitality and tourism. James loves all kinds of sport and would be more than happy to join you to either watch or participate too!
