About Me

Hello! I'm an open-minded traveler who loves to meet new people and see places from a local perspective. If you've got a great story or a favorite spot in your city, I'm excited to hear about it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Solo travel is an adventure I cherish but having friendly connections in new places helps make each journey less daunting. Couchsurfing allows me to build these connections, enjoy genuine local experiences, and yes, let's not forget the bonus of saving some pennies on accommodation.

Interests

I just enjoy exploring new experiences, whilst I often finding myself in the quiet balance of a yoga class or trying my hand at various outdoor adventures - be it hiking, canyoneering, or stand-up paddleboarding, it's the thrill of something new that truly captivates me. I also work as a Research Software Engineer at a university which offers its own variety, with projects that take me from Philosophy to Chemistry. But above all, I love discovering and learning about other people - each conversation, for me, is a unique adventure waiting to unfold.

Music, Movies, and Books

My Spotify playlists are dominated by Taylor Swift, though my love for live music expands well beyond. Gigs, jazz bars, festivals – if there's live music, I'm there. While movies aren't my top choice for entertainment, a few recent ones like "The Worst Person in the World" and "Embrace of the Serpent" have captivated me. As an avid reader, Haruki Murakami's magical realism works are my favorites, and I've got a soft spot for fascinating neuroscience books (hoping to go to graduate school in the area!)
