ABOUT ME

My friends would describe me as a fun personality and probably a bit crazy. I like extreme sports and do some very random things, like move travel the world for 4 years alone and with no money! They would also say I have an old soul so the raving non-stop party lifestyle is not really my cup of tea. Give me some good people and some good conversation in a pub or around a campfire, happy days!

I am currently on a round the world trip looking for exciting things to see and do. I have done 6 months working in Canada, 1 month in Alaska, 1 month in Hawaii, 1 month in California, 15 months Australia and 14 months NZ. I now have until October to make the most of New Zealand before they kick me out as well, but the next adventure is Tonga and Samoa so I cant be sad for too long!

PHILOSOPHY

I grew up with no religion or any type of spirituality whatsoever, atheist some might say. As I have grown older I find myself exploring a spiritual path that I had no idea I'd be on but seems to be growing exponentially the more I travel and experience and the more people I meet. I am so blessed to be where I am and on this incredible journey.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am using couchsurfing as a way to travel the world and to meet amazing people... for as little money as possible. I really appreciate the way it introduces me to local people and everybody I have met through CS instantly has something in common with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some truly great experiences with couchsurfing and the best part for me is spending time with locals who know the best places to go and things to do. Some hosts I have stayed with I can honestly say have become like family to me which is such an amazing feeling when you are so far away from your own.

Intereses

As you can see from my pictures, I love the outdoors and have had jobs guiding kayaking, canoeing, and rafting. I love the snow and have been lucky enough to be a ski rep and a Rental Technician; and I grew up riding horses which I still love to do. I am travelling to see as much as I can see, and do as much as I can do!

Música, películas y libros

I'm into heavy metal and rock, particularly classic rock. But I do also love things like Mumford and Sons, Jeff Buckley, London Grammar.

I'm a huge sci-fi geek. Star Trek: Into Darkness is my favourite film and I do things take helicopter tours just so I can go and see Jurassic falls in Kauai. Amazing.

My kindle broke so I'm not reading anything at the moment (sad face) but I am a huge fan of Jodi Picoult and Paulo Coelho

Flew to Florida to watch the very last space shuttle launch, it was awesome

Worked a field season in Egypt as an Archaeologist

Solo canoed a three day expedition down the upper Nahatlatch valley in BC

Hiked the Kalalau trail and arrived at the actual garden of Eden. Planned to stay for 2 days, left after a week.

Whitewater rafted the Kaituna river at 1:00am with the stars and the glowworms, it was like a magical fairytale

Water sports is the thing I have taught the most, and I know a lot about ancient Egypt! I also taught kickboxing for a few years. However, I am more of a jack of all trades, master of none.

I would love to learn more about my spirituality through other people's experiences and the paths they have been on, and I am keen to do more yoga.

I'd like to learn the guitar and become good at surfing.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'm polite and friendly and definitely not messy. I love animals so ill look after your dog or cat or your hamster like a demon. I can clean and I can cook. Whatever you need!
